An honest guide to a city we love

Visit Siena Guide was born in 2023 from a group of friends who have always lived inside Siena's walls. We wanted a place to tell the city as we really know it: far from tourist clichés, but also far from the parochialism that sometimes makes us hostile to first-time visitors.

We write about restaurants, monuments, events and contradas. We do it in complete independence: no sponsored articles, no free dinners from the venues we review, no commercial partnerships with accommodation. When we like an address, we say so. When an experience doesn't convince us, we prefer not to write about it.

The site is a self-funded project. If you'd like to support us, the easiest way is to share the articles you find useful and write to us if you find a mistake or want to suggest a topic.
